What to Expect on Your First Visit
During your first visit, we will review your dental and medical history forms and take X-rays of your teeth and mouth. Then Dr. Ahmadi will meet with you to discuss your X-rays, help you create your own individual treatment plan, and answer any questions you may have.
At your next visit, one of our hygienists will clean and polish your teeth and inspect your teeth and gums for cavities or early signs of tooth decay or gingivitis. To learn more about routine care, see our cleanings page.
Regular Checkups Keep Your Smile Healthy
The American Dental Association recommends a visit to your dentist every six months for regular checkups and routine teeth cleanings to keep your teeth and gums healthy. We understand you have a busy schedule, so when you’re preparing to visit our office, please remember your appointments can last between 45 and 90 minutes.

What happens during my first visit?
Your first visit is all about you, your comfort, your questions and your health. We begin by reviewing your dental and medical history, take X‑rays if needed, then Dr. Ahmadi will meet with you to discuss the images, create a personalized treatment plan, and answer any questions you may have.
How long will my appointment take?
New‑patient appointments typically last between 45–90 minutes. This allows time for the forms, a full exam, and discussion of your treatment plan.
What should I bring to my first appointment?
Please bring your completed patient information forms and your insurance card. Also bring any questions you have, we’re here to help.
How often should I come in after my initial visit?
We recommend that most patients come in for routine check‑ups and cleanings every six months, this helps keep your smile healthy and catch issues early.
